Can you post a guide on how to import/export models? This is HUGE NEWS for JC2.
I’m very glad to announce that the player count for the server has risen back to beta days, thanks to the recent steam sale on Just Cause 2! If you wanted to try out this server, now is a better time than ever – playercount is up to ~160 players from the previous count of ~40 players.
Can you at least upload the source code?
That was the case a couple months ago, but jaxm’s since implemented the node capture system where only bases linked to the faction stronghold directly or through other friendly bases can be captured, so there is a sort of “frontline” that really helps concentrate battles.
This site is not affiliated in any way with the Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod. Ask on http://www.jc-mp.com, not this site.
He didn’t ask how to open aiparams.bin. Just what the random IDs in it were specifying.
You can try merging them if you download Gibbstools and read some of the tutorials on this site. It’s actually really easy for a tiny file like factions.bin, just copy and paste.
However, one thing to note is that “factions.bin” controls the hostility of different factions toward the player. I’m guessing “No heat” set it so that the government is never hostile toward the player, so if you want to keep that passiveness, keep the No heat factions.bin. Otherwise, use the Crazy Civilian AI factions.bin, as that includes the hostility of the government toward not only you but also civilians.
Did you actually download it and see if the lens flare image was the same as yours?
If so, tell Apu to credit you in the OP!
If you read the date on top of the thread, this OP is from 2 months ago. I don’t think he’ll be replying anytime soon.
I would be very interested in such a spreadsheet.

The 4MB bug applies to all BLZ archives, unfortunately. It was one of the compelling reasons for my tutorial on reskinning weapons – if the bug didn’t exist, you could simply unpack and edit the contents of general.blz.
For now, my tutorial appears to be the only (practical) method of editing the contents of large archives. The main issue with it is that the game takes time to realize that the specified models don’t exist in the default path, and so edited models and textures initially show up as invisible.
This thread is outdated, see
It should be the same overall process.box-o-aces wrote:Nice, that JC2-MP lua thing doesn’t seem bad at all! I’m still hoping they allow server-client dropzone sync (for even more crazier mods).
Speaking of which… :woohoo:Quote:Custom assets using Steam Workshop
If you look at the wiki history that line was added Feb 15.
Yeah, dropzone sync is essential if we want vehicle mods and texture and all that. JC2-MP can only use vanilla stuffs atm.
