Afterburners for jets

It’d be nice if you could somehow add an afterburner on jets, but it is keyed to a different button to that of the normal thrust button, so when you press it you could a nice speed boost and when you release it you go back to your normal speed.
maybe even get a bit silly and add a warp drive

That’s what the shift key does. If you let it go you will move at normal speed, and if you hold it you will engage the afterburners and go faster.

i meant yet another button to go even faster, sometimes going at ridiculously fast speeds isnt practical and you just need to cruise, you would have another button that you could press instead of shift for even greater speeds

hmm, it does not seem to be possible to edit speed for jets, ive spend alot of time attempting, and alot of other modders claim they have changed the speed yet they only changed handling and air density which only affects speed a little bit.
There are no mods, and its not possible to make jets really fast, since no one has done this its a safe assumption as this would be highly popular.

Open the xml
Search for “Engine”
There will be a bunch of hashed stuff like
For all the big numbers, just multiply them by the same number (like 4).
These numbers are the cargojet times four.
edit: If you are doing an upgradable vehicle, only target the level you currently have it upgraded to (unless you like doing a lot of math)
